Two New Aspen Lodging Properties Offer Enviable Retreats

Live the Luxe Life With Family and Friends at These Exclusive Compounds

Perhaps you got comfortable in your pandemic bubble. Maybe there are even some aspects of it that you’d love to preserve, like privacy and ample space among family and close friends. That’s where two new Aspen guest accommodations come in.

The first hospitality venture of a Texas family that owns a home here, the newly built Aspen Street Lodge opened downtown in January, on the site of the former Hotel Lenado. At 24,200 square feet, the venue more than comfortably sleeps up to 26 (a few more if kids are included) in modern, hotel-style rooms on two floors plus a large third-floor residential penthouse.

At present, the lodge offers full buyout only. But the point is to have a full run of the place, from the huge game room, bar, and screening room to the penthouse’s massive deck, with its pool, hot tub, and full outdoor kitchen—pizza oven and smoker included.

Personalized service providers include daytime staff, a private chef, and pro athlete Chris Davenport as the in-house adventure guide. Though with the close-up view of Aspen and Shadow mountains, and your besties close by, you may never want to leave the lodge.

Aspen Valley Ranch

For even more privacy, opt for a luxe-Western home rental at the Residences at Aspen Valley Ranch, 12 miles downvalley. The 813-acre gated community used to be a family compound. Now it can be your family’s getaway, with over-the-top amenities like a barn and riding arena with a private wrangler, indoor/outdoor pools, a historic barn–turned–game room, and the “toy garage,” full of e-bikes, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles, and more. The on-site concierge service will arrange for details like transportation, private chefs, grocery delivery, spa treatments, and even event planning.

Sound appealing? Not surprisingly, this level of luxury comes at a price. The Aspen Street Lodge commands a $22,500 to $30,000 nightly rate, depending on the season. Fees at Aspen Valley Ranch start at $175,000 a month per house. Sorry to burst your bubble.
