Jazz Aspen Snowmass kicks off the 2025 Labor Day Experience on Friday, Aug. 29 with Imagine Dragons. This diamond-certified GRAMMY Award-winning Las Vegas band continues redefining rock in the 21st century.
Los Angeles trio Cannons will open for Imagine Dragons. Cannons elevate alternative/electro-pop to a neon stratosphere with nocturnal production and visual sensibility equally suited to Studio 54 or a summer festival.
On Saturday, Aug. 30, rock icon Lenny Kravitz will headline in his second JAS appearance, having previously played the event 10 years ago. Regarded as one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race, and class throughout a three-decade-plus musical career.
Before Kravitz, eight-piece soul/pop band Lawrence will make their JAS debut. The band, led by siblings Clyde and Gracie Lawrence, has gained a devoted following for its high-energy, keyboard-driven sound, which features tight, energetic horns and explosive lead vocals. Oregon-born singer/songwriter Max McNown will open the day on Saturday.
Multi-platinum, award-winning artist Luke Combs, will headline the closing night of the festival on Sunday, Aug. 31. Two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year, Combs is one of the most influential and popular country music artists today.
The Marcus King Band is slated to open for Combs. King, known for his electrifying jam-rock performances, will be making his first appearance at JAS, following another new face to the JAS stage, Grace Bowers and Hodge Podge. Bowers is an 18-year-old, award-winning guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader who Rolling Stone calls “Nashville’s new guitar hero.”
But there is more than just the music to look forward to this year, as JAS Founder/President Jim Horowitz, will also be inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame at the annual event.
“Jim’s contributions, the contributions of his dedicated team, and the entire organization’s contributions to music and music education in our great state are unparalleled and so deserving of this honor,” CMHOF board co-chair Scott Tobias said in a press release.
JAS will be donating $1 from every ticket sold to CMHOF to support its mission to celebrate, promote and support Colorado’s music community.
